Potential Topic for Paper 4

    I want to explore why not all punctuation is taught together in school. Commas and periods are taught first but you do not learn how to efficiently use semi colons or hyphens till much later in your academic career. I want to know why the teaching is split up like this and if it is hurting us in the long run.
